Virgin Gorda, BVI
Logbook 1/18/07
Departed first light from Palmas del Sur for Vieques (the former US Navy bombing range). Tried to anchor at Bahia Salinas del Sur but were chased off by Vieques Range Control. They were still cleaning up unexploded ordinance from decades of bombing & mock invasion exercises. Backtracked to Isla Chiva, a Navy Rest & Recreation beach with picnic shelters.

Departed first light for St. Thomas, USVI. Ran past the southern shore of St. Thomas & St. John to the BVI. Up the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda. They put us in a slip next to Morgan Freeman’s sailboat, “AFRODESIA”. Tomorrow, on to St. Martin.
