In South Caicos
Logbook 1/7/07
South Caicos, Cockburn Harbour
Ran across the Caicos bank with “Reggae” following. Capt Bill ran the 65’ M/V “Island Diver” for many years out of Sapodilla Bay. “Reggae was his excursion boat. They had a once a week movie night for cruisers and would sell $2 rum punch & free popcorn. He is taking the catamaran to Grand Turk to run beach party cruises for the big cruise ships. His Haitian girl friend, Moni (Bill thought her name was Namemoni because she does not speak English and when he asked her name she replied “name Moni”) did not enjoy the rough crossing. Had to wait to cross the Columbus passage - too rough. Forecast improving late Monday & Tuesday. Hope to make Dominican, then Puerto Rico.
Fair weather & following seas
