Generator fixed but high wind & seas

Logbook 12/8/06
The cruising community is great in Georgetown. Really nice people. Our favorites are Ollie "The Moon" & Pam Sinclair from Toronto. Don't know how Ollie got his nicknme. Pam likes Goombay punch. Ollie is the one who fixed the generator. With everyones help, I was able to call Cummins in Ft. Lauderdale to order the new alternator. They took it over to Reggie Air, a freight shipper to the Exumas. It made it to Georgetown by 3:30 PM. Junior from Taxi # 4 picked it up from customs & I had it in hand within 25 hours of ordering it. Ollie installed it by 11:00 AM. Can't get things done that quick in the states. Am writing this in the Miami airport. We got flights back for Blake's graduation. Will take a break from cruising while the winds are blowing down there.
Fair weather & following seas,
Gary & Faye
