Back in George Town, Exumas-on to Turks & Caicos

Internet too slow for photo download.

Returned to the Exumas on an early flight from Reagan National Airport. Got a taxi from the airport & he radioed a water taxi for us to cross Elizabeth Harbour to Stocking Island. We were back on Hullabaloo by 3 PM.

Wind still blowing 20-30 & seas too rough to resume our trip South. Tiger Woods’ yacht “PRIVACY” came in & anchored about 300 yards away. She is a beautiful ship & is lit up for the holidays at night. Had dessert on “Dejarlo” with Ollie “the moon” & Pam and their friend Frank, from Greenville, NC (Blake’s home at ECU). Pam kicked ass in cards, as usual. I let her because she made us orange custard puffs.

Ditto on the wind. Took a dinghy ride to shore & walked across the island to check out the waves on Exuma Sound. The photo speaks for itself. Ran over to town to pick up a few things. The tender for “Privacy” was disabled & in danger of washing up against the “iron shore”. The captain was in the water holding it from blowing into the coral. Got there just as “Ruby”, the boat from St. Francis Resort was tossing them a line to tow them to safety. About 8 people aboard, including young children. No Tiger. Rescue successful & they got towed back to “Privacy”.

Reciprocating & having Ollie & Pam for dinner. Faye has been in the galley all morning. May get a break in the weather tomorrow. If so, will run to the tip of Acklins Island tomorrow. Sunday will cross to Provo, Turks & Caicos. Hate to leave these great people in George Town but have to travel when weather permits.

Ran the West side of Long Island to the Jumentos Cays, then to the tip of Acklins Island to spend the night at Jamaica Bay.

Made it to Provo, Turks & Caicos. Tiger’s boat “Privacy” was here. Anchored at Sapodilla Bay.

Cleared customs with the captain from “Privacy”. Had 7 Christmas carolers row up to sing for us. Relaxed & went to the beach. No internet or phone. Can receive calls but can’t call out. Had a wrong # call from someone in St. Lucia at 5 AM. Will try to take the dinghy along the shore tomorrow to find a wireless hot spot. Hope somebody has an unprotected network that I can borrow.
Fair weather & following seas
