Day 7 - Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park
Departed Las Vegas, New Mexico and headed West. Many sections of Historic Route 66 were blocked or had gates up at towns on the Navajo & Hopi indian pueblos due to Covid-19 restrictions. The reservations have been hard hit apparently. Had to turn around multiple times and backtrack to Interstate 40. Crossed into Arizona and happy to find that the National Parks are open. Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park are a sight to see.
