Day 5 - Across Oklahoma into Texas Panhandle
Yersterday groups of demonstrators in Oklahoma City. Got the hell out of Dodge and went West to Weatherford Oklahoma. Walmart parking lot and slept till 6:30am. Drove to Clinton and stopped at the Route 66 Diner. Best Spanish omelette I ever had! Now West to the Texas Panhandle. Made it just West of Amarillo, TX and pulled in to an RV park near the Cadillac Ranch.

Never mind. Broke out & skedaddled into Texas. The Oklahoma Rangers had to give up the chase at the border.
Old Route 66 is in incredible shape in many areas. This section poured in the 1930's.
