Night Fishing
Decided to try some night fishing for Swordfish. Nobody fishes for Swordfish here, but there should be some around. Left the dock at 5:30 PM with Martin Edgar, Martin Fadlin and Jessie. Decided to drag a line on the way to our fishing spot. Hooked a Blue Marlin that our Scotsman Martin fought for a half hour. He really put on a show with a lot of jumps and long runs. At the end, he just stopped fighting and came along side. Got the hook out and dragged him to try to revive, but he was too far gone. only the second billfish that Hullabaloo could not revive. Also caught a Rainbow Runner and a long, skinny critter that nobody could identify. It looked like a Cutlass Fish (Ribbonfish), but it had a forked tail. Too ugly to eat so we threw him back.Fished till 10:30 PM for Swordfish and never got a bite.
