Hullabaloo Travels

Took a trip on Hullabaloo to the Grenadines to see the Bequia Easter Regatta. Stopped at Wallilabou in St. Vincent on the way down. This was a major filmset for "Pirates of the Caribbean". Loved Bequia. Neat little settlement that comes alive for their Easter Regatta. The local favorite event is the race between the double ender whaleboats. A couple are over 100 years old and are still used to harpoon whales by the islanders. They are very proud of their whaling tradition and had brought in a whale about 2 weeks ago. A local waterfront bar, the "Whaleboner" has 2 huge whale ribs used to form an arch for the entrance. The bar stools have whale vertabra for the seats. On to Mustique, home of Mick Jagger, Princess Margaret, David Bowie & Raquel Welch. Basil's beachfront bar is a great spot to have a drink while waiting for sunset & "the green flash".
