Trinidad Burning

Hullabaloo made it to Trinidad. 7 miles from Venezuela in South America. This is the furthest South she has ever been. The severe drought that has been hitting the Southern Caribbean the last few months has certainly hit here. Upon entering Chaguaramas (the old US Navy base in WW II), we were surronded by brush fires on the hillsides. They burned thru the night and have continued for several days during our stay. The boat is covered by ash in the morning. Did drive into Port O Spain & saw some beautiful old homes & the Fine Arts Center. We depart tomorrow for Tobago and the "Marlin Madness Tournament". My "A" team is coming down by plane on Tuesday. Bruce Hackshaw & Geoffrey DuBoulay on Hullabaloo (the fish raising machine) will be a force to be reckoned with by the Trinis & visiting boats. More on that later.
